Factions of Cy and other upcoming games…
A few of the titles I’m currently backing on Kickstarter.
|Factions of Cy
Factions of Cy is a supplemental zine which deepens the already existing world of Cy_Borg, a dystopian world where corporations maintain a tight grip on the populace, ensuring their dominance. As a result of such attempted control five factions that have formed.
From the Kickstarter:
Prison Packers: Dirty Cops who get a bonus for hitting their arrest quotas.
LyKit: These 'entertainers' stream their dangerous antics to make a few creds.
Repo-Cru: When medical bills are not paid, these guys retrieve the implant.
Blue Bloods: Rebellious rich kids with daddy's credit card.
Motorclaw: Scavengers who see treasure in other people's trash.
Factions of Cy is a supplement for Cy_Borg that provides lore, classes, and other details that flesh out the world in ways previously left to the imagination.
From the amazing Caleb, Aka Dungeon Havoc the creator whose first kickstarter Korg (2023) a minimalistic business card sized TTRPG, caught my eye.
Be sure to check out the kickstarter if you are interested. There are about seven days left currently and it’s already fully funded.
MÖRK DÖD
MÖRK DÖD, a “post-apocalyptic industrial-medieval Chainsaw & Sorcery Death Metal hack of Mörk Borg”, promises a unique take on an already existing system with it’s continuation of the lore, taking off where Mörk Borg ends. Turns out the end of the world did happen, but not quite like everyone thought…
“As foretold, the world did die but not as written in The Nameless Scriptures. The Great Basilisks rose, but not before mankind found something- a substance even more valuable than silver: crude oil. They used this black liquid to fuel mechanical abominations, burning, digging, drilling, always wanting more. Needless to say, eventually they built weapons. When She came, they blasted her two heads back into the abyss.”
And finally, let’s look at something a bit different.
Tangent-Snooker/Pool Table (3D Printable)
Yes, a 3D printable Snooker or Pool Table. Some of you might now that I have been working on a Pool Sports Simulation that’s forever in the works. This isn’t that. In fact it’s quite a bit more fun. It’s a flick, as in with your finger, Pool game table. The balls have been replaced with semi-flat discs (from the looks of it) and the cue with your finger.
It’s not quite funded just yet, one more person needs to pledge and there is less than 68 hours to go. Just a thought in case anyone might be interested in such a thing. I know it’s not table top role playing game related, but billiards can be played solo, and with a few extra mechanics can easily be made into a TTRPG.
This week we’re keeping it short. My garden is infested with grasshoppers, and I’ve had to install a large hoop house greenhouse to keep everything as safe as possible, which took up most of my weekend and my energy.
So these are just a few of the games I’m currently backing and that’s about it for this week. I hope everyone has an amazing week, keep your chins up and keep pushing word with direct action. Appreciate you all, and as always, take care of yourselves and one another.
See you all next week.
